MARK ANTHONY
Marc Anthony was a politician and general during the roman empire. He was an important supporter of Caesar. Mark Anthony was the best friend with Julius Caesar, he was one the greatest roman imperators, he was very influential.

Mark Anthony, the best friend with Julius Caesar found out that his best friend was murdered by Cassius and Brutus. “I came to bury Caesar not to praise him” (Marc Anthony). He is saying he didn’t come to acknowledge his goods he came to bury him. Mark Anthony speaks after Julius’s death in a unhappy tone repeating “Brutus is an honorable man.” Anthony speaks to his people about trusting Brutus and not mourning for his death. At the time he was alive they all loved him, now that he is dead they act as if they care about him. Now that he is dead the people act like he never even existed.

Mark Anthony use of persuasion portrays his personal and political beliefs. ”o judgment! Thou art fled to brutish beasts, and men have lost their reason. What he is saying is that everyone has gone crazy and lost their reasoning. Nobody is really showing emotion toward the fact that Caesar died while Anthony is hurt his friend is gone. “Bear with; my heart is in the coffin there with Caesar and I must pause till it comes back to me.
