Creation Essay
Both the Greek and Genesis creation stories utilize the villain archetype. Cronus swallowed each of his children as they were born. This proves that Cronus is filling the role of the villain archetype. His lust for power is so great that he selfishly sacrifices his own children to keep his throne. The serpent (Genesis) is another villain. The snake tricks Eve into eating the fruit. The snake wants Eve to be a villain too by disobeying God. These examples show both stories using the villain archetype.

The Greek and Genesis creation stories also contrast, with the former having an epic battle or father/son rivalry and the latter a garden archetype. Zeus gave Cronus a special drink to vomit his kids. Zeus and Cronus hate each other. Zeus would do anything to get back at his father. The Garden of Eden (from Genesis) is made. Creation from God made of water, leaves, and food. It’s the special dream place for mankind. Both stories have differences with one another on archetypes.
