Breathing irregular
The door to the world outside is open
Who knew that we'd find our way while we're so broken
We take a step and let these disastrous visualizations
Run their course and finally take their leave
Thousands of feet
Step on the concrete
They seem to all be
On corresponding beats
I never thought I'd see the
Blue skies and grass and trees
We all were captive for so long
That we forgot this fleeting feeling
Wide open arms are reaching
Above this joyous screeching
The sound that has to mean
One purely gorgeous thing
This crowd is finally free
We've finally escaped the
Masquerade
The sleight of hand, the simply skilled charade
Suited to give impression
That you belong inside
That you were meant to hide
That masks were not a lie
Though every one saw through the
Masquerade
All eyes are on each other, now's the day
We have a new perception
And through the street we go
We're off to find a home
A place to call our own
Where no one pushes us to
Masquerade
Behind something that's clearly just a play
We're living life without a hint of shame
So if we're meant to fall
We won't inside that ball
We're breaking free and singing
