There are many times where "spam" gets added to lyric sections on the site.

How this happens
1. A user copies lyrics from another site and that site had embedded lines for advertising.
2. A user purposefully edits either current lyrics or a "shell page" to advertise.

How to handle situation number 1
You would simply remove said advertisement from the lyrics.

How to handle situation number 2
1. Click on "contributors" and look to see who added or changed the lyrics. If the user's name starts with anything other than "gone_" then you will want to report the user to a moderator or staff member for spam.
2a. Edit lyrics and replace the spam with "The lyrics for this song have yet to be transcribed" if the spam was added to a shell page.
2b. Edit lyrics and replace the spam with the original lyrics that the spam replaced.
3a. Edit the title and add a "*" after the name of the song.
3b. Nothing further needs to be done.

How to find more spammers
Many times spammers create multiple accounts. If you find a new spammer it is best to check out "All Activities" on their user profile. Looking around here you can find pages that have been spammed as well as possible links to other spammer users.
