Local Natives
We Come Back
My seat shakes, touching down
As does the cab ride on the new highway
It finally makes the familiar stop
I hear my name from inside my old house

I try to catch up; another year
Meet up on Pier Street under the heat lamps
I'm glad Danny came, I didn't call
Erin's engagement, I'm happy for her now

Even though it's three below
We're all outside in our backyard
By the bonfire feeling so warm inside

When we've come back, and then we'll come back
