Starting to Forget
I think I'm starting to forget his face
Each day the picture fades away a little more
How many lines were on his brow
I used to know, but I don't now
Because I'm starting to forget
I think I'm starting to forget his hands
The way they looked, the way the felt when holding mine
Think I remember they felt strong
But I can't be sure, it's been so long
And I am starting to forget
Who would've thought that couple of weeks
Could feel like a couple of years
And for every little thing I remember еxactly
Something else disappеars
And I can still see him walking in with his briefcase
His favorite brown hat on his head
And he gives me a kiss and he whispers something to me
But I can't remember what he said
I think I'm starting to forget his voice
The way he spoke, the way he sang the things he said
I'll hear him singing me a song
But it sounds weird, the words sound wrong
And I am starting to forget
Each day the picture fades away some more
Hard as I try to never let him disappear
It's not that I don't think that I should
It's not like I don't wish that I could
Remember him
Still, I am starting to forget
