The Tuts
All Too Late
If only I knew you would have ripped me up in two

I would have never gone there, never gone there

I would have turned back around never looked into your eyes of stone

And now I’ve gone so very very weary, full of fear with my head to the ground

Listening for the fakes and the snakes in the grass and

I waited for you

And now it’s all too late and now its gone and…

Just out of spite I should have done it to your life

I should have strum along and then fled the scene

Watched the worm turn so you’re left lost and lean

I find the charm so very, very alarming

It lasts longer than water on the sand and then dries up already

Up you’ve never seen a helping hand
