Prison Poem

Yeah, I'm in a prison bar surrounding us all

I'm worried about the children, see I'm working in the schools

And only once a week now I'm sitting in a hall

Listening to a weak imam giving us a talk

And he speaks a different language so I'm drifting with my thoughts

I wonder which thobe would go with the trainers that I bought?

Who knows what's next? Shaytan whispers all sorts

And there's a brother on my phone leaving six missed calls

Still sitting in his home, he didn't pray jum'ah at all x2

And outside the masjid, there's a lot of criminals

A lot of backbiting, and a lot of idle talk

A lot of big cars, not fashionable to walk

And if we catch a bus, we get cussed if we're caught

If you wanna get married, you gotta pay a big dowry

Or have a big wedding to impress a big family
