Cory Hanson
Limited Hangout
Walk around and cast a shadow all over town
Dance around the wall 'til it cries a mirror on the ground
Every time a dog sees a ghost, it takes a note
For the living aren't forgiven
For neglecting their friendship with the world

Your eyes were like a crystal ball
Floating in the backroom of the bar

The rider dashed out of the gate
Fear in his eyes and money flying in the air
Rode to Dallas overnight
Moonlight through the bullets in his back
Riding on a ghost-horse
His silhouette was like a mushroom cloud

The sunrise coming through the trees
Orange spray paint dripping on the leaves

Sometimes it's so hard not to feel like a corpse
Dragging a soul on two broken wheels
I have often felt the edges of my body trying to escape
And yesterday was heavy
Now it's time to put it down and pick up a drink
