Billy Cobb
Autumn
I prefer the leaves, over the sand
And everything's in peace
All in a blanket of orange
It isn't hard to feel the lights all changing over me
The soft touch of caressing breeze is just enough to make me feel alive
It's so warm inside

I see a fallen sea of different shapes and colors hanging over me
And I believe that I have never been so close to home
These sun-swept puddles of a dark red gleam are taking me back home
And well it's comforting to know:
This Halloween won't be spent alone

In the harvest moon, I see my reflection
Please get better soon
With autumn air affection
To feel a frigid breeze upon the colors I can see
And no one doesn't ever seem to see the world as bright as me
And I swear to thee as these autumn leaves fall over me I might just be the greatest man that I can be

I see a fallen sea of different shapes and colors hanging over me
And I believe that I have never been so close to home
These sun-swept puddles of a dark red gleam are taking me back home
And well it's comforting to know:
This Halloween won't be spent alone
