Things are not same since the class of '17
Cause everybody's seemed to move on with their lives
And although I don't feel so different the world has learned to change and so have all the people I used to like
Well Ashley's posting n*** pics on the Insta
And Jill's depression chased away her friends
Everyone I know is smoking marijuana
And likes to live their life through current trends
My best friend's smoking cigs and has a full time job
And my closest friend through grade school joined the air force
Well I'm stuck here writing papers to be able to support myself, but none of this shit matters all it is work
All my friends are leaving Pennsylvania
And the girl I had a thing with turned out gay
And although our lives are short we seem to waste them
To see you waste your life is such a shame
My ex-girlfriend dating someone that I'm friends with
We love to break all the unwritten rules
And it's hard to meet a new girl to amend with
Cause I'm unapologetic lazy fool
If flirtation's all I'm good for then I'm done with love
Cause it's hard to find a lover who fits your soul
And everybody leaves you so there is no point in searching when you're setting sail on a boat that's filled with holes
Discussions go from girls to politicians
And who you think is ultimately right
But it comes to the basics of opposition
And everyone involved begins to fight
People seem to think they're more important than they are
Cause they act as if they're activists through trends
Though they say the same shit people still adore them
Man wouldn't it be nice to see it end?
They say millennials are ruining the country
And it's interesting to think that could be me
Cause the people I grew up with, don't understand how the world works
And they'll make this country sink into the sea
