Billy Cobb
The Enticement of Land
Hear the sweet morning song of a hummingbird
The change of the leaves is enough to make you cry
Take off your cutlass and lay by the trees
Feel the grass and smell all the flowers
Take in the bogs and all the buildings
All the lights and the sandy beaches
Maybe it was I who was wrong
Old Johnny's feeling seasick
The sun sets west
And the moon obscured by trees
In the end, we're all together
Away from sea, into the land of the free
Into the land
Is this supposed to be home?
