Ivy

In your ivy arms wrapped around so tight
I'm cast to stone
Glass blown each night

I'm smothered in blue overbearing eyes
My solemn tones
Surround my sight

I shouted in your ears
You stood unflinching
And I knew what I had to do
To rid myself of the mess I'm in
While i knew i wanted you, - no!

I won't succumb to bitter complacence
Cause i can be more than the ego im faking
I write old words off to pursue better ways
I get myself built upon sturdy foundations

You can take my breath
You can take what's left
It’s not what i’ll accept
I'm getting out my head
