The Chocolate Room
(With the contract finally signed, Willy waves his cane and reveals a wonderful garden of candy delights. Willy invites the children to enjoy the room but whatever they do, they mustn’t go near the chocolate waterfall.)

[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
Ladies and gentlemen…
Welcome to the Chocolate Room!
I’ve never shown this room to anyone before…
You’re the first to see it.
Everything you see, every tree, every flower and every bird is made completely and entirely out of chocolate.

[CHARLIE]
Grandpa Joe
Now I know
I'll never have to dream again
For I've had dreams incredible
But here's a dream that is edible

[CHARLIE, GRANDPA JOE, AUGUSTUS, MRS. GLOOP, VERUCA, MR. SALT, VIOLET, MR. BEAUREGARDE, MIKE & MRS. TEAVEE]
Mr. Wonka, pinch us, please
So we can taste the forest for the trees

(As the children explore this wonderland, the bewildered adults ask Willy what its purpose is. Willy bemusedly explains…)

[MR. SALT, spoken]
Look here, Wonka, the waterfall makes sense but what’s the point in all the rest of this stuff?

[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
The point?
[MR. SALT, spoken]
Well, what’s it for?

[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
It’s my creation.

[MR. SALT, spoken]
How does it make money?

[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
It doesn’t.

[MRS. GLOOP, spoken]
It’s a little cupboard of treats for a midnight feast.

[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
No, madam.

[MR. BEAUREGARDE, spoken]
You use it for photo shoots.

[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
Certainly not.

[MRS. TEAVEE, spoken]
It’s therapy.
[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
No.

[MR. SALT, spoken]
Well if it isn’t for anything and it doesn’t make money then
why on earth does it need to exist at all?

[WILLY WONKA, spoken]
You really don’t see do you?
