A thing about chords
My favorite thing about chords is that you can put different chords under the same melody
Say you have a melody like this

Putting certain chords under it will make it feel a certain way
For example

Or, if you want to go a little jazzier

[Instrumental]

Or, perhaps you want something sort of grand, and royal sounding

[Instrumental]

Its kind of like painting a thing in Photoshop, and then changing its feeling with a blending mode on top
The base is the same, but because of this extra harmonic information it feels different
