Through the darkness it comes crawling

Burbling and moaning as it drags its bloated body with cracked and twisted teeth and snarling claws

Its true name is Ibabas, but it calls itself EAT BABIES?
And though it rarely speaks, it sings with a passion that a thousand angels would fall forth with leaded wings
Fall right into the pit where everything is melting flesh, and pain, and snatches of sickeningly sweet swan song

And while the melody is sweet, the words are bitter like the dead
And they are guttural like the first dialect

The beast can blow beautiful sounds from deep within its rotten and bloody throat, but it cannot tell a lie

And in truth, it is sightless, and it is decaying meat
And it is born of nightmares, older than dreamers
