Year of the Knife
For Our Fathers
How dare you
With a hand held to harm
Drown yourself in a bottle just to forgive it all along
Seeking a solace, just to ease the hole in your heart
When was the only solution to be torn apart?
The silence reminds me
That no tie is this binding
The silence reminds me
That purity will never be
Restored
Or even brought back at all
Yet at least the vacant hole
Can't still tear her to the bone
When you poison yourself, you're just poisoning the world
To take your away your pain and force it on the ones who stayed
My face may look like a reflection
But my hands will act in opposition
At least in death the pain will only come one more time
