Enough with the Breathing II
I came back
With a broken summer and a broken spine
Grazed by the heat and stung by the night
Tried yoga, couldn't
Wasn't the stretches, nor the downward dog
Wasn't breathing thing
Upside down, I felt my organs falling out through my throat
One by one:
Liver, lungs, liver, lungs, lungs, liver
And then the vocal cords
Then the vocal cords flowed like seaweed out of my mouth
Out of my mouth
Enough with the breathing
Keep them in
They came fast like fingers
Inside-out in one snap
