Hey all! It's been a long time, but we're back with the biweekly updates! Read on to find out what's happening in UK music!News50 years after its release, The Beatles' album Abbey Road is at the top of the UK Album Charts, setting a new record for the longest gap between number one album appearances. The Beatles held the previous record with Sgt. Peppers' Lonely Hearts Club Band, which was released in 1967 and reappeared in the charts in 2017, 49 years and 125 days later.
Meanwhile, grime artist Yizzy has spoken about his emergence into the scene with his track "Hustle Hard" appearing in FIFA 20.:"I wrote the song a while ago, I was going through a difficult time in my music career.It's the first track you hear when you choose the VOLTA game mode. Other artists on the soundtrack include Skepta—he featured on Avelino's track "Energy", which appeared in FIFA 18—and Wiley—he's been everywhere ever since he called Ed Sheeran a "culture vulture".
