Genius UK 2020 Biweekly Update #1
📅 Date: January 1 – January 15
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas, and as we ride into the '20s, let's work on improving Genius UK!The Year In Music2020 will see lots of new music from UK artists; here's just a sliver of what'll happen!
Glastonbury turns 50 years old this year, and it's only fitting that the headliner is one of the country's favourite musicians, Sir Paul McCartney. Artists playing at the show include Taylor Swift and Diana Ross, and if it's anything like Stormzy's legendary slot in 2019, it'll be a lot to look forward to.
Adele's also coming back, apparently with a drum and bass album. Excitement began when Lady Gaga tweeted, "I'm calling my next album ADELE", challenging Adele to release an album. The 31 year old described her new project as a "drum 'n' bass record to spite you."
Nobody knows who'll record the theme for the upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die, but people suspect that it'll be Ed Sheeran. He even said that he's already sitting on a record for the film, and he's "had a theme tune written for about three years". Other favourites include Dua Lipa and Liam Gallagher.
Lots of albums are coming out from our favourite UK artists this year as well. Look out for The 1975's Notes on a Conditional Form, Pet Shop Boy's Hotspot and Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia!New AlbumsHere's just a few of the albums which we're expecting to see this year:The 1975 - Notes on a Conditional FormDua Lipa - Future NostalgiaPet Shop Boys - HotspotLouis Tomlinson - WallsIsobel Campbell - There Is No OtherCirca Waves - Sad HappyBe sure to help in getting the lyrics of these up on Genius, and remember to tag them with the 'UK' tag! That's all for this biweekly update!
