Holy Fawn
Can we just lie here?
Blowing field, I will lay with you in it
Push you over, make sure that you're still breathing
I'm wide awake, I dig my fingers in the dirt
Cool my bones and grasp the call grass that speaks between us

We gather stones to cast into the sea
A burial, dissolve the parts that we don't need
Above our heads, the thunder's hooves and braying gale
Your hands are shaking but your eyes are bright and unafraid of how I'm pelting down

Can we lie here? A soft sleep in the fog
The field grows taller and it will never let you go
