Devin: Rolling he says. He Toby, let's play one of those old songs you used to play for me
Toby: Urr umm, ey' Devin. Umm, what song were you thinking of, good ol' buddy of mine
Devin: Umm, It was It was about a girl
Toby: Ohh i think, lets see, a song I wrote about a girl, back in a ohh are you thinking about '87, '88 maybe. Umm i'm pretty sure i was in a band called named Joe 747, we were pretty popular in asdf south Carolina. Umm well, if I'm not mistakin', that song was called "Anne Marie", umm and it was written about a girl and being in love and actually to tell you the truth, it wasn't even me being in love, it was my good friend Joe Green, who back a winkydink, we were sitting around and i believe if i remember correctly, Joe was drinking a peach tea and i had mango , we both actually wanted Strawberry Banana Blast, but umm we weren't able to have it cause they well umm ,umm the old man there, the old waiter their you might call him, server, said they were out of the umm ya know well flavor, so i was drinking mango, joe was drinking peach, but we started the discussion that well umm eventually led to the forming umm a ya know, are ya ready? of a song and the girls name is "Anne Marie". Umm, are you ready to play it old buddy?
Devon: I'm ready lets do it
[Verse 1]
You say that you don't need me anymore
Well that's just fine
You headed for the door
And you won't hear me cryin' anymore
My Anne Marie
[Chorus]
Anne Marie
You're leaving me
Anne Marie
You're leaving me
And I don't think you're coming back this time
Anne Marie you're leaving me
And I don't think that you can see
That I'm the man for the rest of your life
[Verse 2]
You know it's not so hard to let you go
Remember the time at Christmas '99
When we had a snowball fight and you won
My Anne Marie
[Chorus]
Anne Marie
You're leaving me
Anne Marie
You're leaving me
And I don't think you're coming back this time
Anne Marie
You're leaving me
And I don't think that you can see
That I'm the man for the rest of your life
[Bridge]
A dresser drawer filled with sweet love letters
And the bible you gave me
I won't show up on your doorstep
On Sunday morning
When I pray, God hears your name
Even though things aren't the same
And now I realize why my heart is breaking in two
'Cause you're leaving one piece for me
And taking the rest with you
Anne Marie
[Outro]
