Sweet Violets
"Mac, uh, do that little, uh version of, uh 'Sweet Violets' for me, will ya? [Mac Laughing] It's a little different from mine, I'd like to get it."
My father works down in the sewer
And he carries a lamp to be lit
And he wishes the sewer were pure
For he don't like the smell of the
Sweet violets, sweeter than all the roses
Covered all over from head to foot
Covered all over with snow
Now, you've all heard that game they call 'Bingo'
In the seniors it's made quite a hit
When suddenly someone yells "Bingo!"
And the rest of the players say
Sweet violets, covered all over with snow
Politicians come around for election
And they want to shake you by the mitt
Politicians get all of the chicken
And we get the feathers and
Sweet violets, covered all over with snow
