A Cappella Medley: Islands in the Stream / Here You Come Again / Why’d You Come In Here Lookin’ Like That? / Two Doors Down (Live)
[Spoken]
I like singing acapella, of course, I'm glad you like those songs too
I like, eh, I like singing with you as we were doing that
You know those, you know 'em all by heart, don't you?
Like '9 to 5' and 'Jolene', but there's a whole bun-
Those are the ones who that good
You never heard some of the ones that I wrote but didn't make it
Like uh, let's see
[Sung]
Well, I bought this sexy lingerie
Thinking that I might get some action now to you
But every timе I take it off you put it on
Trouble is you look bettеr in it too
[Spoken]
I have a bunch of others like that like
[Sung]
I lost my honey bunny on a bad hurt day
Or I've got the biscuits in the oven
Now get your buns in there
[Spoken]
Anyway, like I said I like to sing songs just by myself
And you were good when we were singing by ourselves without the music
So people can sing without music, they called that Acappella
That's a big word, ain't it, for singing with no music
So I thought I'd ask Richard, and Randy, and Kent to come down
And we're gonna do a little medley of some songs that you might miss
If we didn't do them in the show at all
But we don't have the time to do everything
So we thought we just kinda condensed them
Okay, I'm on so hit this up that note there Richard (here we go) pitch four
Hmmm, you boys okay with that note?
[Sung, "Islands in the Stream]
Islands, islands, islands in the stream, that is what we are
No one in between, how can we be wrong
Sail away to another world
And we rely on each other, ah-ha
From one lover to another, ah-ha
Islands, islands in the stream
[Sung, "Here You Come Again"]
Ahhhh ha ha ha
Here you come again (and here I go)
Here you come again
And just when I'm about to make it work without you
Here you come again
And pretty soon I'm wonderin' how I came to doubt you
Here you come again
And looking better than a body has a right to
Here you come again
[Sung, "Why'd You Come in Here Lookin' Like That?"]
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
In your cowboy boots and you painted-on jeans
All dressed up like a cowgirl's dream
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
When you could stop traffic in a gunny sack
You're almost givin' me a heart attack
When you waltz right in here lookin' like that
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
Why'd you come in here lookin' like that
[Sung, "Two Doors Down"]
Oh, two doors down
Two doors down they're laughing and drinking and having a party
But two doors down they're not aware that I'm around
But here I am crying my heart out feeling sorry
But they're having a party just two doors down
That's right, we're having a party two doors down
[Spoken]
How 'bout that, boys? It's good A cappella
The acapella fellas
Of course when we were trying to work the show up
We knew it was going to be doing it on TV
We thought, well we need to do something special
So the boys said, why don't you take one of the songs and do it in fast speed
It might be fun, I thought, well, I guess we'll try
So we said we'd do ' Two Doors Downs' on 78 speed, we used to call it
Now we just call it fast speed
Are you boys remembering the words when we practiced it
[Sung, "Two Doors Down"]
Two doors down they're laughing and drinking and having a party
But two doors down they're not aware that I'm around
But here I am crying my heart out feeling sorry
But they're having a party just two doors down
That's right, we're having a party two doors down
I don't know who talked us into doing that, but well it was fun
When we were doing it
Well, I hope you've enjoyed that
I guess you could say that
We're still crazy after all these years
Now get back to your cages
