So let's speak upon this
Problem that's been plauging our earth for the longest
People need to stop sleeping and face truth
We need to find a new way for today's youth
Teach them that a gun is not for fun
And teach them that a drug can make you bug
'cause they don't want to learn in school
And out in the streets they seek to be the one that is cool
And it's cruel
The way that young lives get wasted
Now let's face it
The solution is basic
Knowledge of self and awareness of culture
Instils pride in young sisters and brothers
Who'll make them see that material things have no value
And that they need to learn how to
Evaluate the system they live in
So they can prosper
And so they won't give in
To the evils that'll tempt to imprison
Their mind
And then they'll grow to find
True freedom

Kids need a future to live for
