Any concerns can be addressed by GASmaster29 and/or BritishJuggernaut.What is Nerdcore?Nerdcore is a very special Genre of music. It contains songs that are based off of, video games (emphasis on horror games), TV shows (emphasis on Anime and Glitch Productions), movies, and other popular internet culture.

Nerdcore can contain any genre — Pop, Rap, Rock, еtc. — but the main point is that everything in Nеrdcore was inspired by some show or idea that the artist loved and wanted to share through in their music.Intro SectionThis is a guide on what you should do for the Nerdcore Cleanup. Please go to the Nerdcore Cleanup profile to see everything related to this project.

Anyone can join on this project! It is highly preferred if you added your name to the Contributor List, but it is not required!

You are also allowed to clean up any artist of your choice! We do have a main focus listed in the Cleanup List page, but you do not have to work on that artist if you do not wish.Quick Information on PagesThe Cleanup List is a list of all Nerdcore artists and their status in the cleanup. You can see how close we are to finishing on that page.

The Contributor List is a list of people who are currently working on the cleanup project, your name is not required to be on the list in order to help but is highly preferred.Artist Cleanup PagesArtist cleanup pages are pages with all the information you need to help cleanup the artist. This will range from songs that are fully complete to songs that aren't the Genius site yet.
The page's release date tells you at what point you are able to stop working on their discography. Anything after the release date does not (yet) need to be worked on due to how quickly new releases are put out, this does not mean you shouldn't work on new releases.

To make a cleanup page, go to the Page Template, click on "manage lyrics", click on "edit lyrics", then copy the entire text.
Go to the "add a song" page and paste the text. The title should be "(Artist name) Cleanup". The primary artist should be "Nerdcore Cleanup". The date should be the day you are making the page. The main genre should be "Non-Music". Add the artist PFP as the song cover art. Add the tag "Cleanup". Add the page to the "Nerdcore Artist Cleanups" album. No additional metadata should be added.
When linking albums, do not put any song within the album underneath the "Songs" header. If a song appears more than twice across albums, it is okay to add it underneath all albums.
If you need an example of what an artist cleanup page should look like, take a look at an already existing artist cleanup page.

This whole "cleanup" is mostly just fixing song lyrics and getting older songs transcribed onto the artist's discography. Once about 80% of all Nerdcore artists have the green (🟢) symbol, we will go into a second phase in which we clean up artist/song bios and annotations.

Note: If the artist's discography is very extensive, you may choose which year you start at and work towards the present date. The recommended year to start is no later than 2020 or 2021.

Contributors
If you work on a song page and finish it, please contact a transcriber+ that's in the Contributor List so they can double check the work.
Transcriber+
When looking at a page, you are to make sure that it adheres to Genius's guidelines as well as the information listed under "Nerdcore Standards" below. It is not required, but is highly preferred to add any and all metadata that you can.

If you do not know the artist or do not want to work on the artist for any reason, then message another transcriber+ that works on them. This is preferably to be the transcriber+ that is the highest on the artist's IQ leaderboard, otherwise message BritishJuggernaut or GASmaster29.

Once the page has been fully checked out, please go to the artist's cleanup page and change the circle emoji to the corresponding color.
