This is a generalized style guide for all articles written under the Forum Articles Initiative. This style guide must be followed by all writers when they submit articles for editing and before final publishing.What needs to be italicized?Here is a list of all items which must be italicized every time:Album titlesFilm/television show titlesNewspapers and magazines names (this includes online-only magazinеs)Social Media account handles (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, еtc.)Book titlesJournalsIf anything particular needs to be emphasized within a sentence, it can be italicized.What needs to be quoted?Here is a list of items that need to be quoted by thinking of them as subsets of those which need to be italicized.Song titles Specific Television show episode titlesGenius Korea always used double quotes for this purpose ("").What needs to be made bold?Bold is not a useful formatting tool As mentioned earlier if you’re looking to emphasize something, use italics. Therefore, you should always avoid the use of bold.Additional Formatting If you chose to include lyrics to a song, the said lines must be included as a block quote. By default, always use Korean lyrics in the article. If you are using the English translation of the lyrics, it must be clearly mentioned prior to use in the paragraph.All names must be linked to the respective artist profile on Genius the first time they are mentioned in the article. All song titles, album titles, etc., must be linked to their respective Korean pages on Genius the first time they are mentioned in the article. Photo credits must be added at the end of the article crediting the artist's management unless specified otherwise.
