Future Utopia
Fear Or Faith Pt.3
[Spoken Word]
I will be faithful
Even if the fear is royal
Even if the navy sky goes violent and decapitates the sun
I will be faithful until I see a horizon
And if the horizon end
If our neighbour betrays us
Love will still need an army so I will enlist
Yellow-bellied and blundering
Let me remain faithful to the moments where I felt love
Dear God, let me persist
And even if we do not persist
And life goes extinct
In mankind’s grief, let humans weep the trees
So that a piece of the world still exists
And even if the world does not exist
I will stand grateful
For this fist of Alabama dust
Holding hands with my ancestors
Whose graves are buried in the crust
If they died slaves, and, and they still prayed for liberty
Then I will insist
And if we cannot insist
And we instead wake tender with questions
If we cannot wrestle belief
Let us not resist the pain that comes next
Let it not say, no, that we did not go because we feared the mountain
We might come out scarred
But in the end, doubt wasn’t that hard to face
‘Cause in the end, fear becomes faith
