Lights and Cameras (Poem)

Lights

Cameras

Forget about those

Get help with moving on

Love won’t acknowledge who you are

Loss of dreams

Saying you’ll be yourself, but nobody cares

And nobody cares if you are aching

Nobody cares if you’re sad

Nobody cares when you’re mad

They decide to throw you a bone

Depression sets in

Rings in your ear, a pest

Words don’t scare or make me frown

People all around decide to look for the wrong

No one sees who you are inside

Dying to prove the love is true

Everything you used to know, you no longer knew

Saying lights won’t make a change

Saying lights will bring you out of your shell

These lights won’t change you now

These lights won’t get through to you

Nobody cares if you’re all alone

Nobody cares if you need a hand

Nobody cares if you’re hanging on by a strand

Nobody cares if you’re on an island

Brushing all the sand

Nobody cares if your body is aching

Music is playing, but nobody cares who you are

Do you want to be a star?

You cry all night

What’s your dream?

Investing your heart

Trying not to lose you

These lights start changing you

Tell you to put on a fake face

Deep down you are so bright inside

They tell you to make up lies

Put you on TV all for show

But no one knows

These lights won’t scare you

But they do…

Slipping into some world

Saying these lights won’t make you

Saying these lights won’t make you disrespects others

You don’t know who to turn to

The world uses you

Then, abuses you

No longer yourself

You want to be yourself

Saying these lights won’t exchange you

Never will these lights make you turn on the ones who really love you

Light and Cameras…
