From Indian Lakes
I’m Not There, but I’m Fine
I’m looking at you through the windows
Snow outside reflecting off the sunlight
In your face
The water’s sticking to your eyelids
You don’t mind you turn and smile and slowly
You make your way into the world again
It’s slowly slipping through my memory
Every year i just pass by
Colored lights surround the houses
No one left to say goodbye
Covered faces only eyes
Holding hands and stealing glances
I’m not dead but i’m just fine
I lift my head up from the pillow
I hear no sound there’s no one waiting for me in another room
There’s a soft glowin from beneath my door
Are you there or did i leave the lights on
I stay in bed and think of you and me
Every year i just pass by
Colored lights surround the houses
No one left to say goodbye
Covered faces only eyes
Holding hands and stealing glances
I’m not dead but i’m just fine
