O’Brother
Oblivion
Caught inside of this nightmare I find
There is only night no tunnels of light

Umbilical ties mark the start of dependancy
Gathering weakness in cradles of infancy
There is no purpose for truth in this fallacy

Stumble through life on the edge of insanity
I find that time has crippled me internally
I make my way like a wandering amputee

No reciprocal law
Where the ends meet the cost
No reward for the cause
Or the innocence lost
All that's left are the flaws
And their eternal gnaw

Caught inside of this nightmare I find
There's an endless divide between me and where I need to be
Blood runs dry in a visible line
It's the trail I devised and it leads me back to my defeat

When I swallow my pride
It eats it's way through my insides and out for all to see
So I lie fabricating a smile
Oh it's hollow and vile but I've learned it keeps your mind at ease
Helplessly I watch as I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
Time passes by and still I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
Helplessly I watch as I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
Time passes by and still I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion

(Oblivion)
Helplessly I watch as I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
(Come take my cup)
Time passes by and still I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
(Come drink my blood)
Helplessly I watch as I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
(End what I've become)
Time passes by and still I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion

(Oblivion)
Helplessly I watch as I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
(Come take my cup)
Time passes by and still I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
(Come drink my blood)
Helplessly I watch as I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
(End what I've become)
Time passes by and still I am pulled in by the
Effortless grip of a greater oblivion
