Come closer
I must tell you a story now
It goes way back

Hyper light driftin come see me blow up a supernova
I'm paintin a picture better than Vincent Van Gogh does
I'm workin all day as I try to live in the moment
But still I'm questioning everything and I'm givin em no love
Stuck in the moment I hear the verbal commotion awoke
Inside a dimension that has a linear timeline
Nothing as potent as what a passion can power
But when I'm passing the flower I'm feelin high as a skyline

They say the law is the law but I see it more as a guideline
I'm loading the chamber locking it under the by-line
I'm watching the crowd, I see you off in the sidelines
I guess that I'm curious still I'm lackin the nine lives
Required to risk it all on a feeling, I find time
To inspire, I'm spacing out on the ceiling
And nine times outta ten there's a secret
Someone's concealing but nine times outta ten
It's a monster you shouldn't meddle with

I get my blaster and pop a cap to the head of it
Conquer your demons or settle under the sediment
Pocketed heat is a kettle ready to whistle
You're crawlin outta the thistle
There's nothing else to be said of it
You got your eyes on future, lost where the present is
Getting so old you forgot what your adolescence is
Living on Dharma and Sutra got you so adamant
Violence is never an option when you're a pacifist
So are you really inhaling after they passing it
Got the mind of God, heart of a masochist
Hyper light drifting I never know just how fast it is
Until I stop and I flutter into the massive mists
Somthing is keeping me pumpin blood at a hundred twenty
Beats per minute it stutters I gotta keep it running
Can't stay afloat so I hold my breath as I'm falling under
A bolt of lightning to strike me down when I hear the thunder

(Alan Watts)
We are all floating in a tremendous river, and the river carries you along. Now some of the people in the river are swimming against it, but they're still being carried along. Others have learned that the art of the thing is to swim with it; and they're carried along too. But they know it, you see? They know they're carried along, while the people who are swimming against it think they're going in the opposite direction. But they're not really. You have to flow with the river. There's no other way. But you can swim against it, and pretend not to be flowing with it but you are still are. But a person who is not making that presumption, who knows that you have to flow with the river; suddenly he acquires in everything that he does, the power of the river
