Part Five: GG Allin On His Mission
Interviewer's words are in boldface; GG's words are in regular text
--------------------------------

It was just... it was kind of a setup and a blackmail, I think. Just to get me. They thought that if they put me in prison, that would be the end of, you know, his performing and his rock 'n' roll. "We'll shut him up." And, well, all it did was, you know, make me aware that I could break the law and get away with it. I learned more in prison about how to break the law and get away with it. And my plotting for two years, and planning when I get out, made me more... I mean, I'm more of a danger now than I was then. Much more, much more.

And you were able to record the vocals for one of your records from prison.

I recorded that. I... you know, I did things, uh... interviews. Wrote. I wrote my whole new album. Wrote some stories, you know, a couple books. And, just... I refused to let them stop me. I refused to let them break me down in any way. And I came out of prison stronger, almost, than when I went in. It was almost like what they tried to do backfired. What... they tried to stop me... just created a more fierce, intense danger now. I mean, I'm definitely more on the edge now. I'm definitely... I'm just going all the way now.

Once the tour starts... that's why I'm trying to get all these records done now. 'Cause once this tour starts, there may never be another record. I mean, it's like, I'm gone. That's it. You know, maybe I'll do parole, maybe I won't. Maybe I'll be a fugitive again. I mean, I'm not by any means going to calm down, anything. Nothing's changed, it's just intensified. So we've just got to see what happens next, really.

Now, you talked about Halloween, next year.

Right. I'm gonna do that.

Killing yourself.

Yup.

If you're, uh... if you want to end it all, why don't you just do it?

Well, I... the thing is, I've got to get done what I got... you know, there's so many things that... it's important for my mission to be strong. It's important for me to say things, it's important for me to do things. If I do something... if I'm not completely satisfied or if I'm not completely finished with what I've done, that's not the time to do it. You can only take your life when you've finished with it. I mean, you can't do it prematurely.

At the time that I was gonna do it, it's the same amount of time that would be now. So, I was prepared during that time. And now I've got the album done. I've got to tour for at least 18 months. I've still got things to do, I've still got some revenge to take care of, I've still got some business to deal with, and I've still got some things to say. And when I've got... and I know I'll get it done, 'cause I can pack a lot of time in a short period.

So, once I get all that done, then it'll be that ultimate stage show. That will be the final bloody mutilation. That will be the... I mean, that will show people that, okay, here's... this is it. This is serious, this is what I do, and this is what I mean, and when I say I'm taking it further than anybody else, this is what I really mean by it. This is where we separate the fake blood from the real thing. This is where we separate the death metal from the real death. And this is where we set the path, and this is where we go on to the next adventure.
And that's where... you know, once everything's done, do it. Don't stagger, don't linger, don't go on and be a lame boring band like everybody else. Say what you've got to say, do what you've got to do, do it quick, and get on with it.

And don't cheat yourself, you know. Because suicide could probably be quite an exciting thing. And being dead, really... it'll probably be better in the next life than this one, anyway. So, I mean, you just go on, go on, going... take one life at a time. When you're done with it, end it. Go to the next one, when you're done with it, end it. Go to the... [mumbling] ...get that fucker done. Don't waste any time. Don't be boring. Stab as many people as you can, fuck the world over, and go for the next one.

How's that gonna go? How's that show gonna go?

It's gonna go. I'm not... I don't really even want to say. I just... you know, I'm setting it up. I've got the plans, and I just... I don't want to say. I just want people to show up, and they'll have to see it for themselves.

I mean, I'm really excited about it. I'm looking forward to it, actually. I think it'll be great. I mean, it'll be the greatest rock 'n' roll show of all time. You know, it won't just be the suicide. We'll do the show, and it'll be bloody, and it'll be mutilated, and it'll be so intense that I don't even know if people will probably want to show up. But if they do, they'll see something. And if they survive it, then they'll see something that they've probably never seen or witnessed before.
