There's a song on my most recent album called, I See You
And I asked a bunch of friends all over the country
If they would send in some videos of themselves
Bring their awesome selves
So that I could use it in the song
And take them on the road with me all summer
So we did that and we also learned of a greeting
In South Africa called Sawubona

When two people meet
One person says, I see you
And the other person takes a moment before they respond
And they really take the other person in, and they
Sort of bear witness to their soul
And then they respond and they say, I am here

And I just wanted to say that
When I'm feeling my most lonely and broken
In my life
I, I recognize that I'm, I'm lucky, you know
I can come out, and I can work through that stuff in my music

But even more so, I
You guys have always seen me the way I wanted to be seen
In this world and
I just want to say thank you for that
And I see you and I am always here
