Midspring Dithering
Walking - on a May morning could be like a-dancing on air
Talking - on a May morning could be like a waste of good air
But I can listen to the wind understanding
Blossoms that open like windows on fire in the sun
And I am so free
In all that I see
Nice rave, on a May morning, not much cotton wool in the skies
Heatwave, gave me no warning, left me so completely surprised
But I've been waiting for you for so long dear sun
And Winter's been long and I wasn't so strong yesterday
But now I'm so free
Can I really be me?
Happy, scatterbrained people - lovely in their rattling maze
Twisting, chattery faces, dizzy in their clattering blaze
But I've just sat me down to work the whole thing out
And goofing around isn't all so unsound as it seems
And so far as I see
Just between you and me
It's the no reason
Silly season
