Fisherman Or Fish
There’s a lot of different ways to live
As a gambler or a servant
Or as captain of a ship
I was down behind a dumpster
I could hear the radio playing
Everybody wants to live where they belong
By the river or the sea

And if these days
I’m more fisherman than fish
Still stuck on the line, I guess
Like an old yard dog pulling
On a chain circling out some muddy ground
Saying “Lord, this is all that there is
No, there ain’t nothing else.”

Fisherman or fish
It’s all the same I guess
When you want to fly

The barn is sinking
The tide is coming in
Ain’t no road sign
At the corner, kid
You just gotta know the way
