A Rat Without A Tale
Is this silly paragon a marvel or a stain
A fixture for the ages or a link of spoiled chain
The ultra-modern statement of abominable crime
In every nervous etching of its swaggering design
Mother says my baby boy was born to be a star
She doesn’t know that every night he stiffs the reservoir
Churning out a fiction of ingenious for the kids
How vermin learn to live in places life itself forbids
I see hours of battered time
Not for yours, I miss of mine
I see holiness in ruin, I see barrenness for sale
I see sexual provocation, without any inclination
Of a history derailed
I see a rat without a tale
I see a rat without a tale
I see a rat without a tale
Now whats to come of Johnny in the autumn of his years
The faulty institutions have the spiritless revered
Ordinary dabble for the stationary buyer
A song of slick vanilla sing the toxic-pigeon choir
Peddler and poacher prove the very best of friends
Associating produce to appropriated trends
The cat is always hungry, that’s just how he got so fat
“I think I hear a rattle snake, think I smell a rat”
I see hours of battered time
Not of yours, I miss of mine
I see holiness in ruin, I see barrenness for sale
I see sexual provocation, without any inclination
Of a history derailed
I see a rat without a tale
I see a rat without a tale
I see a rat without a tale
