Very Far From the Home I Love
How can I hope to make you see my way
Hear me dad, I've gone mad
Why I must travel to Y'ha-nthlei
Very far from the home I love

Once, I was happily content to stay
Here in town, on dry ground
Far from the monsters who would come to prey
Prey on the home I love

Who could see that old Marsh would come
Who would add foul shapes to my dreams?
Lovestruck now, I stand with him
Watching wholesome dreams go dim

Oh, what a psychopathic choice I make
Swimming far, growing gills
Breeding with Deep Ones just for Obed's sake
Very far from the home I love

I just decided on this yesterday
I will stay far away
Who could imagine such a horrid thing
Very far, very far, very, very far from the home I love

Yet, with Obed Marsh, I'm home
