I hear alarm ringing
Alert it’s not a drill!
Another mass killing
Another oil spill
Another species
Is sent to extinction
Our reality is stranger
Than fiction
And then I tell myself
This world is crazy
Human stupidity
Will always amaze me
And when you step back
We are just a laughing stock
A bunch of blind fools
Looking at the ticking clock

I don’t ever wanna stop
I don’t wanna look away
Don’t want to give up

I’ll make it to the top
I just wanna go against the odds
And burn down Babylon

I hear the gun shots
I hear the dogs bark
I hear a drone buzz
I hear a bomb blast
I hear the wind blows
Almost breaking windows
I hear people scream
Is this a surreal dream?
And then I tell myself
Oh man, this cannot be real
I must be tripping or something
Have I forgotten my pill?
Time passes by
And all I do is talk
I babble on and on
