Falling in love is easy
Because I was not alone
You taught me how
To fall in love
Is more painful than breaking up
Than not having you At all
Breaking up means nothing
Until you realize what you had
Is gone, forever, never to return
And you are all alone
Sometimes you have to lose someone
To miss them badly enough
To feel the painful sadness
Of regret, of facing life’s challenges
Alone. You wishing for him to return

I hold on to fund memories
Of what our love meant to me
