This Wild Life
Little Light
Across the ages there’s been tales upon pages of two sailors that left their motherland. To escape was the solution, to the emotional persecution waged by their fellow man. In the midst of an era filled with metalcore hysteria, the punkers had popped and the SoundCloud grew scarier. Two men stood with wooden guitars, singing songs about hope and about broken hearts. Leaving their loved ones to take to the sea, they embarked on a journey to find their scene. Captain Black Beard’s beloved boat, the SS Emotion Of The Ocean was a beauty to behold. Once at dock the sailors band would come upon shore with fiddles in hand. They’d sing sad songs to the people on land, with their hearts on their sleeve and their toes in the sand. In their fifth year offshore after the last voyage of Warped, a thousand year storm made them lose true north. When the raging storm had retreated to the bottom, it was a Fortnite later, soon to be autumn. The captains crew grew weaker by the day, and the songs they’d sing in harmony were now replaced by the haunting waves. Surely the deep would become their graves. And at this moment when all felt doomed, the first mate used what strength he hadn’t consumed. He climbed the mast with his telescope in hand, looking for something to lead him to land. He peered to the left, and he glared to the right, searching for life in the vast dark of night. When all seemed lost, he caught a glimpse of something to the front of their ship. A glimmer of hope, a flicker of life, a tiny spark that danced at night. It was... a little light.
