Christmas Feels Like Christmas Again
Christmas time, a year ago
I'd just been let go
And the roof was leaking, rent was due
And the year before that
Daddy had his heart attack
We spent Christmas Eve in a waiting room
I guess we've been running low on Christmas Cheer
But all that is changing this year
'Cause there's a miracle sleeping down the hall
A newborn innocent baby boy, so sweet and small
And it's amazing how when we're holding him
All the light and the joy and the hope we lost
Come rushing back in
Somehow Christmas feels like Christmas again
Daddy's never looked better
He's got a brand-new sweatshirt
That says Kiss Me, I'm a new Grandpa
And you'd never know money's tight
Watching my honey strong Christmas lights
And sing along to "Deck the Halls"
Aunt Cathy and Uncle Joe are putting tinsel on the tree
They came all the way from Texas just to see
Out little miracle sleeping down the hall
A newborn innocent baby boy, so sweet and small
And it's amazing how when we're holding him
All the light and the joy and the hope we lost
Come rushing back in
Somehow Christmas feels like Christmas again
We've all heard the story about the angel singing "Glory"
And a child who helped the wounded world to heal
Looking around this room tonight, the tear welled up when I realized
That I know just how that feels
'Cause there's a miracle sleeping down the hall
A newborn innocent, sweet and small
And it's amazing how just one smile from him
All the light and the joy and the wonder we'd lost
Come rushing back in
Somehow Christmas feels like Christmas again
For the first time since I don't know when
Somehow Christmas feels like Christmas again
