My memory is awake
I'm unsure of its return
But I'm at peace with its absence
From all of my surroundings

I'll never know myself
While it all dies around me
But soon I will die
And gently, I will be placed

Into this bed of flowers
Somehow at some point
I know I will be dead
They'll sing all of their songs
With their last dying breath
Maybe even some of mine

But I'll feel the same as I did before
Not knowing when to speak
Always finding room to stare, I'll never find
The abyss that I was looking for
