O’Death
Alamar
I press my weary feet
In a pasture that I know
And laid her body down
The way that wind had fell
I know her only sin
Was to follow me in kind
A thousand dirty fields
Had made her body cry
The lightness of her dress
The grass that was her bed
Would breeze against the sun
Which falls to earth instead
And she just fades from me
In six ‘neath the stones that arose from the sea
And she just faded from me
Beyond distant shores she is waiting for me
I fall asleep and rest my bleary eyes
Batted lash could last me through the night
And if I wait ‘till dawn it will come to me
A picture of this field as I want it to be
With her there dressed in flames by the sea
And she just fades from me
In six ‘neath the stones that arose from the sea
And she just faded from me
Beyond distant shores she is waiting for me
