He was nothing more than just a man
I heard a scoffer say
You Christians just don't understand
He's still in the grave
Why would you want to give your soul
To a King who was called out
If what you say is true, where is He now

Even now the angels are beholding His Face
Even now He's holding the stars in their place
Even now He's telling the sun when to shine
And I know He is mine even now

They crucified Him on a tree
And they thought that He was done
They thrust a spear into His side
And said this is not God's Son
They didn't know the wounds
They opened up would set me free
And now I look to Heaven and I see
