From Shore to Shore
Over sixty days on savage seas
Below the deck in lantern light
Hot and crowded, they lived and slept
While sailors taunted day and night
Storms shook them with violent force
Freezing water crashing down
The cross beam on the main mast broke
Seemed certain they'd all drown
The journey ended as it started
With the pilgrims praising God
From the deck they left in England
To the beach there at Cape Cod
From shore to shore
It was clear the hand
Of the Lord was on them in this land
He has been so good
No one could ignore the evidence
From shore to shore
Now here we are living
In the land of opportunity
Blessed with such sweet freedom
And hope and liberty
The centuries are passing
But the story is the same
From the sands at San Diego
To the beach at Portland, Maine
From shore to shore
It was clear the hand
Of the Lord is on us in this land
He has been so good
Let us not ignore the evidence
From shore to shore
The Lord is on us in this land
He has been so good
Let us not ignore the evidence
From shore to shore
He has been so good
Let us not ignore the evidence
From shore to shore
We thank You, Lord
For Your goodness, Your goodness
(He has been so good)
Oh, You are good, You are good
You are good
