She Comes Around
I'm not the world's most positive guy
I curse when I drive, don't like to fly
I think everybody's got an angle or a game
Most entertainment strikes me as lame
But there's a girl I'll call my friend
She comes around for long weekends
We start talking, it feels real strange
Edges get duller, my perspective changes on me
I see the saint in the sinner
The statue in the stone
The light in the dark, the marrow in the bone
The good in the bad, the up in the down
The pearl in the oyster, the fox in the hound
Every time she comes around
Like a breath of fresh air she glides in a room
Opens the windows, out goes the gloom
Stares down the clouds till they get up and leave
Spreads the sunshine 'round
Till a little rubs off on me
I see the saint in the sinner
The statue in the stone
The light in the dark, the marrow in the bone
The good in the bad, the up in the down
The pearl in the oyster, the fox in the hound
Every time she comes around
Suddenly there's harmony
When she's by my side
That there might be hope for me
Can't be denied
I see the saint in the sinner
The statue in the stone
The light in the dark, the marrow in the bone
The good in the bad, the up in the down
The pearl in the oyster, the fox in the hound
Every time she comes around
