I think I've found the most peace in the concept that theology nerds call "the already, but not yet." Basically, it's the concept that believers in Jesus were already perfected and completely saved at the moment of salvation, but clearly the world still sucks royally and so do humans. As a matter of fact, I found that humans throughout time have continued as we always have. We are good and bad, brilliant and stupid. The same civilization that mapped the stars and built pyramids also sacrificed people to rain gods. And us, who put people on the moon and made cell phones, also populate Walmart. It's crazy. We will always be growing, but at the same time, we were made right already. But we ain't right just yet. I'm cool with being a lifelong learner.
