I Dance Alone
Two girls I know
In beauty,are with me
Time does not exist to go
The way of the earthly world

I dance alone
Without a sound, do I wander
Silence is golden
But it’s going under for me

I’m heading home
Out of all the wares of location
I dance alone
I’m tired, not scared now

How is that for you?
Can you use it on all your bitches?
Could they afford you
If heaven sent all it’s soul done in riches
And laid me a sigh?

And still you wonder why I dance alone
Without the ground that you worship
The sounds of love making don’t put me to sleep
We’re not the same

I - am practically you
In a dream I say “I do”
Then wake to ask this, why draw back?
You must feel all the affection goes wasted both in and after the kiss
Me and my false modesty
You and your unbridled truth
Now back to back in a photograph
Under the same cold and rainy roof
Our contemporary hell and our shared relief
We watch the world go by
On the changing colour and for the leaf
Which prays citations of poesie and rhyme
And my heart keeps telling me
“all in good time
There is no mystery, only mysterious truth”
Just like your heart is deep and welling, sitting there
With love, without pride
You’ve been hurt so many times
You’ve learned to hold back in a kiss
So the closer comes love now the more you resist

Two women I love
And I am afraid of losing
Between them,myself
Above any jealousy or wisdom

I dance alone
With the others all skyward
I’ve got my ear to the ground
I’ve not found, but lost something here
