Living Life In Theory
I was taught that I could climb the ladder
And when I reached the top, I'd find the key
And whatever way I had to take to get there
Would justify the means
But when I had arrived, I found the answers
Left an emptiness deep inside of me
All the things I had believed and tried to live by
Was vain philosophy
I was living life in theory
'Til the moment He came clearly into view
All the darkness lifted
As thе brightness of His love
Had broken through
Now thе road of truth I'm travelin'
Doesn't nearly get as weary as before
And as long as He's here with me
I'm not living life in theory anymore
Love was never part of the equation
So life never added up to anything
It never even seemed to cross my heart
Until the day He came
He's taken me beyond all expectations
And given me the one thing that will last
And finding life in anything but Him, now
Is a part of my past
I was living life in theory
'Til the moment He came clearly into view
All the darkness lifted
As the brightness of His love
Had broken through
Now the road of truth I'm travelin'
Doesn't nearly get as weary as before
And as long as He's here with me
I'm not living life in theory anymore
Now the road of truth I'm travelin'
Doesn't nearly get as weary as before
And as long as He's here with me
I'm not living life in theory anymore
And as long as He's here with me
I'm not living life in theory anymore
